The Christian Life: A Doctrinal Introduction
By Sinclair Ferguson
I'm going to be leading a Women's Summer Book Study of The Christian Life beginning the last Thursday of Juneand going at least until the end of August--maybe into September. I've read this book several times and have lead two groups through it already; even so, I am still so excited to begin again. This is one of my all time favorite books; it is an excellent introduction to doctrinal studies. Ferguson writes with simplicity and clarity, but he doesn't throw away the theological terms or "dumb it down" in any way.
There are 18 chapters in this book, so I don't know if we'll make it all the way through. I hope we do, though, because the last chapter--Glorification-- is one of my favorites(that and the chapter on Adoption. )
If I can find the time, I may post some of my notes for each chapter. Not sure if that will happen.
